You can easily trigger avalanches on a few steep slopes. Avalanches can get large enough to bury or even kill you (size 2).

De siste dagene har det kommet litt nysnø på rolig vind, som ligger ubunden eller som myke flak i snøoverflaten. Under dette er snødekket hardt, og preget av perioden med kraftig vind fra sørøst tidligere i februar. I bunn av snødekket ligger det en solid mildværspakke fra mildværet i slutten av januar.

Det har gått noen våte løssnøskred i lavlandet i forbindelse med mildværet de siste dagene.

3-5 mm precipitation. Rain up to 500 m a.s.l during the afternoon. Fresh breeze from southeast. -7 °C to 2 °C at 700 m a.s.l. Cloudy.

Avalanche risk assessment

Det er lett for en enkelt skiløper å løse ut skred i ferske fokksnøflak. Vinden dreier på sørøst og vil flytte snø inn i leheng mot nord og vest. Fokksnøflak fra foregående dager forventes å stabilisere seg gradvis på grunn av gunstige temperaturer.

Det vil fortsatt være mildt og regn i lavlandet, og enkelte små våte løssnøskred kan forekomme.
